Austria connects to Manufacturing-X initiative to create industrial data spaces
The Digital Factory Vorarlberg will become the regional service center of the Gaia-X Hub Austria for the production-intensive Vorarlberg economy
At this year’s ADV Austria Digital Value / Data Excellence Conference, the position paper developed in cooperation between the Gaia-X Hubs of Germany and Austria was presented to the public for the first time during a panel discussion under the title “Course Setting: Gaia-X and the Future of Data-Centric Administration.”
The eIDAS Regulation supports the realization of a functioning EU-wide electronic identification system (eID), enabling businesses, citizens, and authorities to conduct secure and seamless electronic interactions.
This article summarizes the highlight of this expert discussion and formulates recommendations as guidelines to be considered for the subsequent data economy strategy development.
At the end of October and the beginning of November, two European initiatives, featuring numerous companies from Austria, were launched. All kick-off events took place in Bilbao, Spain.
From October 14th to 15th, the management board of Gaia-X Hub Austria convened to collectively evaluate the goals and strategy set thus far and assess developments at the European level. The aim was to incorporate these evaluations into further activities and resolutions.
On November 9th and 10th, the 4th Gaia-X Summit took place, organized by the European Gaia-X Initiative European Association for Data and Cloud (AISBL) in collaboration with the Gaia-X Hub Spain, this year in Alicante.
